As a volunteer you are not simply dedicating an hour or two of your time. You are joining a global family working in pursuit of a world without breast cancer. You are a provider of hope, an inspiration for the cause, and a leader in the movement to fight breast cancer. Here at Susan G. Komen Orange County, the work of a volunteer is greatly valued and appreciated.
Approximately 1,300 volunteers are needed on Race Day. Race day volunteer opportunities include course monitors, parking attendants, shuttle bus service hosts, expo site maintenance, race day set up, clean-up and more. In addition, we have hundreds of volunteers who help in the months leading up to the Race. Pre-Race volunteer opportunities include material distribution, Race promotional events, and pre-event set-up.
If you have the passion and the time, please consider being a volunteer. Individuals, families, and groups of all sizes are welcome.
It’s fun. It’s rewarding. And you’ll meet some truly incredible people when you volunteer for the Komen Orange County Race for the Cure. The success of the Race depends heavily on the support we receive volunteers in the months leading up to the Race and on Race Day.
Fun-loving, enthusiastic, hard-working, and reliable individuals who are willing to contribute to the success of the Komen Orange County Race.
Volunteers as young as age 12 may assist us at the Race. Some opportunities require volunteers to be age 18 or older depending on the nature of the activity. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
We are always looking for volunteers to help with pre-Race planning and organization as well as Race Day.
We have several volunteer opportunities available. Click here for a list of open volunteer positions. Be sure to check back periodically for updates. Spots fill quickly…sign up now.
